Wow, it has been a long time since I wrote a new blog. The summer has been quite busy! And full of blessings :-) hehe!
One of the highlights of the summer was getting to sing in a concert with my group "Made by Mercy." It was really an awesome night. The Lord used us and many people were blessed by the music. A result of the concert was that we met a young man who plays dobro (and guitar, and possibly bass?), and we got to spend some time "pickin" with him last Wednesday night. I think that in the future we will have him play more with our group when we do concerts and singings. God is good!

Friday the 13th!
Finally!
I'm finally downloading the pictures off my camera from last Saturday night's concert, and also from the school field trip today to Kyoto, a Habachi grill! We had so much fun! Hope you enjoy these pictures :)

Friday...
Well, I had a great day at work today. After work (I got off at 12), I got to go and eat with the school kids on their field trip which was fun :) Then after school I took Caleb shoe shopping with me. Heheheh...he LOVED that. lol. I'm glad he puts up with me! I also got my nails done, cause tomorrow I will be too busy to! I'm enjoying just sitting on the couch, watching TV and sipping some coffee at the moment...Tomorrow will be crazy but fun!
Tomorrow I go in to work at 8, get off at one, then home to get ready for the CONCERT! Rhonda Vincent, the Primitives, and some other groups will be playing at a community college for a benefit. Caleb Mitch and I are going and I hope we get to meet all the groups! If so I'll post pics :)

Another Thursday...
Today was a pretty great day! I went in to work for 4 hours, then went to the school to visit (plus eat a leftover burger from their hot lunch today...yum!) Then mom and I did some errands and came home. I'm enjoying a low-key day since I am working all weekend. :( I am very happy for the job and the hours...the scheduling? Not so much. Sometimes working with a supervisor who has different beliefs and priorities can be tough, but I know God put me there for a reason...so I'm trying to do my best not to complain or cause problems...although I'll really miss that Sunday afternoon nap!
Before work Saturday, I'm going to take my friend Angel to my friend at the MAC counter to get her makeup done for her date (wohoo!) then we're getting our nails done. I'm excited about that, and about sleeping in that morning :) :) :)
Well the bed is calling!

Changes...
I'm amazed at how quickly things in life can change. Everything can seem to be going fine, and then all of a sudden, your whole world is turned upside down.
That's kind of what has happened in my life since my last post. There have been some good things that have happened, but there are some things that will never be the same, and sometimes I wonder if everything will turn out ok.
Through this valley in my life, I've learned to lean more on the Lord than ever before. He is the only Friend who will never leave my side, never betray me, and never disappoint. It's great to have a friend like that! Another thing that I've learned is who my true friends really are. When you are in a pastor's family, you can be very lonely. Sometimes the only people you can trust and rely on to always be there for you are your family members. Friends sometimes come and go, but family doesn't. I'm really thankful for godly parents and grandparents and their example. I'm also thankful for my baby brother! He's been a really good friend to me through this difficult time.

The Wedding!
Brooke & Chris tied the knot on September 13, 2008 at 6 p.m. The wedding was held at Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. I had a great time seeing family members that I hadn't seen since Brent's graduation from high school 4 years ago! The wedding location was beautiful, and Brooke's decorations were too. Mom had fun being with her brother and being the stand-in wedding coordinater. :-) The night before the wedding, the bridal party stayed at the ranch in 2 of the guest cottages. Before bed that night, there was Sumo wrestling, homeade ice cream & brownies, then the girls sat up doing their nails and talking. The day of the wedding was CRAZY, as most wedding days are! We got up and had breakfast (and plenty of coffee!) then walked to the ceremony location to finish up the decorating. Then after lunch, we all started getting ready! It was a challenge to get the bride, 9 bridemaids, and the flower girl ready for the wedding in a 2 bedroom - 1 bathroom house! But, thankfully, we had several hours to do it! Here are some pictures from the wedding :-) Sorry they are not in order.
